Reporting to the Vice-President Finance and Operations, the Executive Director, Financial Services is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction in the management and delivery of programs, services, facilities and resources that directly support the economic, efficient and effective use of the University’s financial resources. The Executive Director, Financial Services is expected to align the planning and goals with the VPFO vision (including Service Excellence), and the University’s strategic framework. The Executive Director, Financial Services oversees the portfolio’s core business functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payroll, research accounting and procurement.

The successful candidate will have a relevant Graduate degree (i.e., MBA); in addition, a financial designation (i.e., CGA, CMA, or CPA) is desired. The candidate will have over 7 years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, including 3 to 5 years of senior management experience. The candidate will have demonstrated oversight of multiple units, with significant human and capital resources and a proven track record in process improvement, change management, longer-term planning, business and financial planning, and strategic resource management. Experience with procurement is an asset.
