Associate Vice President (Information Services)

The University of Regina seeks an experienced and highly qualified Information Technology leader to assume the role of Associate Vice President (Information Services).   The Associate Vice President (Information Services) reports directly to the Vice-President (Administration) and is responsible for developing and managing the information technology strategy, vision, organization, policies, infrastructure and services at the University, while serving as a key member of the University’s senior leadership team. The AVP (Information Services) is responsible for the development and overall delivery of the Information Services strategic plan  ensuring alignment with the University’s comprehensive Strategic Plan and supporting a culture focused on service and quality assurance.

Successful candidates will have a relevant undergraduate degree or Master’s degree in a related discipline.  She/he should possess seven to ten years progressive experience in senior leadership and management positions in a collaborative, decentralized and service-focused environment. The new Associate Vice-President (Information Services) will have a proven track record of strategic decision-making and leadership, as well as the ability to conceive of and respond to the specialized IT needs of specific functions within the larger organization, including most critically the research and academic experience. Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment will be considered an asset.
