Senior Academic Policy & Recruitment Officer

In this role you will be a member of the senior management team that provides support and strategic academic policy advice. This includes providing background/history on academic policies, advising on policy directions and processes, researching and drafting proposals for new initiatives, analyzing proposals and policies, and contributing to presentations for Provost to ensure the York community is informed about plans, initiatives and results. The incumbent is also responsible for the facilitation of the recruitment and selection of Deans and senior administrators from initial call through to hire and onboarding.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

University Degree in Public Policy, Communication, or another related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years' experience with written communication in an academic environment or broader higher education sector. Experience with University and Academic governance structures and legislation is essential. Experience with inter-institutional collaboration and project management required.
