Associate Director, Global Engagement & Strategic Initiatives

In this role you will provide strategic direction and coordination as it relates to development, communications, coordination, and integration of York University's institutional international strategy. In addition, the incumbent will support the work of York University's senior administration and Faculties in the development of sustainable and strategic international partnerships. The Associate Director, Global Strategy and Engagement is accountable for developing institutional strategic initiatives, communication tools that further the internationalizations agenda. for ensuring the integration of campus-wide internationalization strategies and activities. and for positioning York University as a leading globally recognized institution. With the Executive Director, International, plays a crucial role in setting and executing the university's International Strategic Plan, establishing priorities that directly affect the realization of the institutional internationalization goals as set out in the university's International Strategic Plan. The incumbent is responsible for supporting extensive analysis on significant topics including monitoring trends in internationalization of higher education and implementing the international strategic initiatives. The incumbent is accountable for York University's engagement with selected regions/countries using an integrated approach with central units involving recruitment, research and innovation, academic programs, alumni, and development.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

Bachelor's degree in international relations, business. or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree is preferred. 5-7 years of experience in internationalization, international education, government or a related field.
