Senior Institutional Analyst, Rankings, Analytics and Performance

The Senior Institutional Analyst, Rankings, Analytics and Performance (Senior Institutional Analyst), works collaboratively with York International and with Communication and Public Affairs to deliver and disseminate analytics that support institutional planning and priorities particularly as they relate to international and domestic rankings. This position supports the implementation of an institutional rankings strategy to promote York University's global positioning and institutional performance. The incumbent will work to establish accessible, institutional, authoritative data sets, grounded in commonly understood institutional definitions, to enable relevant analyses and interpretation of institutional data, and data from external sources in direct support of performance rankings as well as other institutional priorities. The position will also prepare the University's rankings submissions and provide an analysis of international rankings performance.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:


A Master's degree in statistics or MBA or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum five years of demonstrated competencies in Institutional research, statistics, survey/research methods, data science, predictive modeling, applied marketing research, social science research, and/or similar fields.Demonstrated analytical, project design/management, and creative problem-solving skills required.Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex and large datasets from various sources, extract actionable insights, and communicate these to business users, both orally and through data visualization tools such as Power BI.Experience mentoring and training others to increase their own knowledge and abilities in data science, and a willingness to share skills and techniques with peers and colleagues.Experience working with university or college enrolment, financial, faculty or research data an asset.
