An opportunity now exists to join the Employee Services Senior Leadership Team as SAIT’s Director, Labour Relations and Business Success (Director, LRBS). The Director, LRBS guides the creation and drives forward the implementation of a labour relations strategy in support of SAIT’s evolving strategic vision and leads the development of strategies for collective bargaining in addition to overseeing the bargaining tables. 

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Employee Services, the Director, LRBS is a member of the Employee Services Senior Leadership Team and acts as the institution’s key subject matter expert on employee and labour relations matters. The Director LBRS is also responsible for giving strategic advice to senior leaders on managing their workforce, and helping leaders develop a workforce plan that supports their business needs and SAIT’s strategic priorities.

As the ideal candidate, you have a degree in Business, Human Resources, Labour Relations, Law or a related field, 10+ years of hands-on labour relations experience (at least in part in the public sector), 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with previous experience leading a team of human resources professionals, including work as a chief negotiator through collective bargaining procedures.
