With the launch of FORWARD in Fall 2022 – UBC’s bold $3 Billion campaign - an exciting opportunity exists for the Managing Director, Advancement Services, Development & Alumni Engagement to further advance the reputation of Development and Alumni Engagement and the University through developing, managing and leveraging internal and external strategic relationships.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Development and Alumni Engagement, the Managing Director is a key leader of the Development and Alumni Engagement Portfolio and a member of the DAE Executive Team. This role serves as a senior official of UBC, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team of the University, and representing the University to the complete range of internal and external stakeholders as it relates to Advancement.
The Managing Director provides the strategic direction on the development and implementation of business and operations plans to promote and support the Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) mission. This position is responsible for strategically leading the DAE operational functions including Finance, HR, IT, Gift Administration, Data Governance, Project Governance, Operations, and Research. This role serves as a key advisor to the Vice President, Development and Alumni Engagement and is integral to the Portfolio's ability to meet its fundraising and alumni engagement goals.
