Reporting to the Assistant Director, Government and Community Relations (ADGCR), the Government Relations Officer will be responsible for supporting the advancement of York University's strategic government relations strategic plan by ensuring opportunities are developed and long-term relationships are cultivated and maintained between the University and its key stakeholders which support the university's efforts to advance our institutional strategic priorities.


To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Administration or Political Science.
  • Master's degree is preferred.



  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Progressive experience in government relations, partner management and the development of policy material either for engagement with Government or within Government is required.
