Senior Vice-President, Corporate Services & CFO

As a leading employer and influential community organization, Loyalist College is now looking for a Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and CFO (SVP&CFO) to provide leadership, strategic planning and senior management direction to their team. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the SVP&CFO will lead administrators and staff responsible for the Risk Management, Financial Planning and Procurement Services, Facilities and Information Technology Services, Library Services, and Community Employment Services of the College. As a member of the President’s College Executive Team, the SVP & CFO will contribute to the overall management of the College and assist the President in advising the Board of Governors on corporate issues such as college planning, by-laws, policies, finances, budgeting and facilities management. Appointed as Treasurer of the Board of Governors, the SVP&CFO will also be responsible for providing financial and administrative leadership, advice, and services to the Loyalist College Foundation while maintaining and ensuring the continued financial integrity and sustainability of the College.

As an ideal candidate, you are an experienced financial leader (with a CPA, MBA or relevant degree), and possess a well-earned reputation for excellence in executive leadership, risk management, proactive mitigation, reporting, and business strategy. Ideally, you possess a deep understanding of the academic environment and current issues facing Canadian colleges - especially those related to funding and government funding models. Complex projects, entrepreneurial ventures,  and sustainable funding models are not new to you and creating transparency and clarity in the budget development are an integral part of your process.  With unquestioned integrity, you are a trusted advisor and have demonstrated the ability to think strategically and provide thoughtful insight while always considering the perspectives of the broad range of stakeholders engaged.
